Pomp and circumstance?

Apparently this little piece of paper along with a liberal arts education is supposed to land me a great job. HA! I've been out of school since December and have yet to have anything substantial come along.

Sigh.
But yesterday was fun. I got to walk across the stage like the rest of 'em.

I returned my coral colored Banana Republic dress and got this one instead for graduation. Wore it again today..like this. Those gladiator sandals are from 2006. time for new!

Boozin' it after grad....ha.

Summer's coming

Apartment is still a mess. Little Bird started moving in today! I'm excited to see how our stuff will "mesh." I have stuff everywhere; my dresser isn't here yet.

Will be the dining room when we get a table...

I don't feel like taking my clothes off, otherwise I'd show you the dress my friend gave me over the weekend. Maybe next time. It's a tight little vintage number.

But for today:

Anthopo dress and Bobbi Blu? tstrap mary-janes.

I've moved into my new apartment. Still getting settled.
Expect sporadic posts, I don't have internet.

The other night my friend Danielle came down for a visit. It was much needed for both of us I think. Banana Republic dresses, thai food, and martinis!

Nothing new fashion wise. My mom is coming to visit the 16-18 for my graduation. We're going shopping. I'm hoping she'll buy me some jeans. Not that I need any, but all of mine are skinnies, and I'm reallly wanting some widelegs.
Preferably
these or these. These are both BR (I get a discount!) but do you know of any others you really like? Inform me please!

Oh, and since Carrie tagged me I'll be doing a post about myself next time. Well, all of these are about myself. Ha..you'll see.

New things to cheer a sad soul

Retail therapy?

Last night I went out wandering from store to store in search of a dress for my college graduation. I finished in December but have to walk this month.

I'm saddened by the fact that someone I don't like very much is planning on wearing the same dress I plan to wear. Maybe Mom will buy me another. I know I'll look much better in the dress than said girl but still.

This is the dress I chose from my workplace, Banana Republic.
Sadly this photo doesn't show all it's loveliness.

on the model.

Today my father called and broke the news that my childhood pet that I've had for 18 years (since I was 5) passed. I am sad. On top of that I've gained weight and feel like an ugly cow so I went to Target and spent too much on beauty products to make myself feel better. I also got candy which I didn't need. Maybe I'm just ppmsing (post pms?) but I feel like a sad sack of shi*.

Soap & Glory lip plumber and deep conditioner, Burt's Bees deep cleanser and blemish stick, hair dye, mascara, gum, swedish fish, hershey bar, and olay cleansing cloths (I swear by these).

I raced over to the consignment shop this evening to get one of those furs.
I get there and ask the sales woman if she knows where they are..they aren't where they used to be. "I don't know what you're talking about."

USELESS!
So, I didn't find one :( Dagnabbit! However, I did walk away with $20 from consigning. YAY.

Yesterday NV posted she'd purchased a feather headband from UO. I've had my eye on that headband but haven't been willing to shell out $20 for it. I'm CHEAP like that.

So..I decided to make my own. I had a plastic headband lying around, some fabric, and a feather from a pair of my grandmothers earrings. I don't think it looks all that amazing...but there it is.

I don't know if I'll wear it out in public but it was fun to make.

I trimmed the feather..but it may need more pruning. It's so ..fluffy.

fur this.

Thanks to Yvan's picture on facehunter..

I've always been drawn to these furry things (what is their proper name?) and just seeing this one on this girl makes me want to go out and buy one. And I know just where to get one! I hope the consignment shop still has them. It did when I bought my aviators last week.

I'll go tomorrow and see. I know it's getting too warm out for a furry neck but...I don't care. It'd be cute with a lacey silky dress/cardi emsemb. YEAH!
