Mom's visit

My mom visited me today. Visits always ensure something new.

We went shopping at various shops, I bought her a bra from the bra boutique I work at, and she bought me new Victorian boots, a much needed wallet, and some used books. She also brought my roommate and I some pictures for our bare walled livingroom. Woo! I am sad she had to leave so soon :(

Swim

I just ordered these bottoms, $15. yay.
I hope I can find a halter top at old navy or target. My chest will not fit in that dinky bandeau top.

Summer SALE

Summers sales are everywhere! Sadly, nothing good is in them!
I went shopping yesterday with hopes of finding a few key items.

I found nothing.
A vest from Anthropologie, a top from Arden B., and 2 pairs of Victoria Secret unders.
I hate shopping. Why is it that when you have cash in hand, the racks are bare. When the bank is dry, there's clothes everywhere! AH.





I look chub. I paired the vest with this pencil skirt and a tank from Old Navy (which a lot of people have!)

Navy

I wear this tank entirely too much. Today was work so I paired it with these stripey navy pants. The stripes on tank are navy as well.

Last night a friend of mine and I had a dinner party with a French theme. It was so much fun! Amazing food and too much wine!! We danced til 2:30am. My legs are killing me. I'm so glad you like my shoes.

Gladiators

The idiots over at hot_fashion on livejournal said they were hooker shoes that look bad from the side.

I can't wrap my mind around this. They do not look like hooker shoes nor are they any less hot from the side? Furthermore, is anyone REALLY going to be staring at my feet from the side??? Is this really something people consider when buying shoes? Sure, I look in the mirror at all angles, but the front is what matters most to me. I guess I'm just weird? Whatever.

Someone even said gladiators are 3 years ago. Um, hello? Have you been on a shoe website lately? In a store? Or read a magazine? That's all that's out there! People never cease to amaze me. And while I can realize that may true, as my gladiator flat sandals are circa 2006...fashion is cyclic so get over it.

They were only $20 and worth every penny!


I can't afford $600 dior or some such designer gladiator heels so in my mind these are just fine. They make me think of Carrie Bradshow and runways. Suits me! As long as I can walk...



They're 5.5 inches. My tallest shoes ever. Now, I just need to play with my wardrobe and see what fun things I can put with them.
