Moving out

Tonight will be spent moving my furniture into the new apartment. OH how I dread it! A huge sofa down 3 flights of marble stairs, across town, and up to 3329D.

I really do enjoy this boy's deep v from UO. I'd like some more! No need in getting all dressed up just to get dirty and sweating moving, lifting, and rearranging.

It's beautiful out-if a little cold- so I went to the park.

Remind me to paint my toenails. My feet are comparable to that of trolls. Gross.

Dress ?

but look how wonderful Michelle Williams looks! Who'd a thought..I was never a fan of the Dawson Creek.

I love her hair. That dress! Where's it from!! I don't know how current this picture is given that Heath is RIP and all.

Third day this week to wear my new skirt. I can't help it, it's just so easy to put on. A skirt is half a dress after all.



I've been feeling about as fat as a house lately.

Today Little Bird and I sign the lease to our new apartment. Pretty soon pictures will take on a change in scenery. YAY

Candycanes in summer

Today I volunteered at the hospital as a candy-stripper. Just kidding! Do they still have those???

I just made a late night (around 10:30) trip to the neighborhood grocery store where a strange fella stopped me and asked me where I got the dress. I think more men ask me where my stuff comes from than women. ha. I found it at TJ Maxx last summer but have seen it at Parisian and Anthropologie.



Not too thrilled about the shoes but whateves. I need to get a black casual wedge. These are Target last year. Or the year before? I don't know.

Good day off

Today has been really lovely and it's only 3:45. Days seem endless when you get up early--okay, I woke up at 11:45.

After a job interview, I decided I wanted to go purchase some aviators I tried on yesterday. $14. I've been wanting some but they're too big for my face. These seemed smaller. I think the mirror in the store lied about how they look on my face.



Let's face it; I look like a waxy robot in sunglasses.


It's been a throw-on casuaul sort of day. After buying the glasses I went to a nearby pizza diner and sat and sat and sat eating my pizza. It was very relaxing. It feels like summer.

Summer Style

I had a little bit of money today from consigning some clothes and thought I'd check out Gap since I get a discount there from working at Banana Republic.

I loved the bland colour palette but wasn't in love with any one item. But it made me decide that I want my summer wardrobe to be pretty monochromatic-lots of whites and beiges. It makes me think beach. Or a Ralph Lauren ad.

Then I went to Urban Outfitters (where I spent my bit of money on a pretty denim skirt) and decided I wanted to mix the beach with a vintagey 70's feel. Skirts, dresses, and wedges.



It looks good in my head. Now if I could just get some pieces to get the look started.

Broke and naked

I'm so bored with my clothes. With my hair. With everything.

Not having money to buy pretty lacey frilly new things makes me ever so sad. Ever. So. Sad.

Soldiers

My style is at a standstill as I can't afford the things I so desire. Such as a silk Imitation of Christ vest and pretty silk flowy dresses to layer with silky lacey bits.

Today a kind woman asked me to be her personal stylist. I was incredibly flattering.


Sometimes it doesn't make sense, but it works. IRL.

Lipgloss

I'm almost out of my favorite lipgloss from Anthropologie.
I've been using it since December 2 years ago. Don't you think it's time to give something else a try?

I want this. A little luxury for my lips.



At $30 a pop I'm not so sure though...my old tried and true is just $8. Hmm!

Hair

I did a stupid thing tonight; I cut my hair. I had a good hairdo too. Dang it. Oh well, it'll grow out! It's not bad now, just very "To Kill a Mockingbird."

If that makes any sense?

Do you ever have those days when your plans are shot to hell in a bucket and you feel lousy because you slept til 1:45 pm? And then your hair doesn't work and you seem to have nothing to wear in your closet?

So you turn to that dress you purchased a year or so ago. That dress that used to be your favorite. With it's soft jersey fabric that hadn't started to pill yet. Now that dress is your go to comfortable dress.

Do you ever have those days? That outfit?
