Gladiators

The idiots over at hot_fashion on livejournal said they were hooker shoes that look bad from the side.

I can't wrap my mind around this. They do not look like hooker shoes nor are they any less hot from the side? Furthermore, is anyone REALLY going to be staring at my feet from the side??? Is this really something people consider when buying shoes? Sure, I look in the mirror at all angles, but the front is what matters most to me. I guess I'm just weird? Whatever.

Someone even said gladiators are 3 years ago. Um, hello? Have you been on a shoe website lately? In a store? Or read a magazine? That's all that's out there! People never cease to amaze me. And while I can realize that may true, as my gladiator flat sandals are circa 2006...fashion is cyclic so get over it.

I can't afford $600 dior or some such designer gladiator heels so in my mind these are just fine. They make me think of Carrie Bradshow and runways. Suits me! As long as I can walk...



They're 5.5 inches. My tallest shoes ever. Now, I just need to play with my wardrobe and see what fun things I can put with them.

Life

As you probably do not know, I majored in Psychology in college and I want to be a social worker. Yesterday I received a call and have an interview set up! I am very excited and very disappointed at the same time. My first choice was to stay here in this city and the 5th or 7th choice was a county close to the beach. Well, one of those latter choices is the one that called me so the open position is in the middle of no where!

Do I take it if offered the position? You're probably screaming YES but..I have a lot to think about.

In fashion news, I ordered a pair of shoes that should be here on the 12th. Super excited. I haven't had new shoes in ages!

Yelle in the summertime

I can't even begin to tell you how hot it is in my room in our apartment. Why did I volunteer to take the no AC room again?? I bought a bar of chocolate last night from the store and it was melted within minutes. I'm not lying. I put it in the fridge this morning and got it out about 30 minutes ago. Melted again in the living room. This place is a regular inferno!!



It didn't help that I wore a sweater dress today. From Banana Republic's (in case you've forgotten, or didn't know, I work there, and ONLY shop there because I get a 50% discount) Spring 2 or Summer 1 line. It's a thin sweater material but no less HOT HOT HOT.

I'm going to see the Sex and the City movie tonight. I guess I'll just keep this on.
